Date: Time: - The Calitzdorp Succulent Society is introducing its first Vetplantfees to be held in the heart of the Klein Karoo, a region where many of the succulents endemic to South Africa, can be seen in their natural environment. The event will provide a showcase of many of South Africa’s beautiful and rare succulents while succulents from all over the world will be on show. Succulent enthusiasts who visit Calitzdorp during the festival will be able to immerse themselves in a range of activities to discover the world of succulents. January 2018 – AGM
Date: Time: - The first meeting of 2018 will be the Annual General Meeting during which we will review the progress we made during 2017. It is the perfect meeting to attend for an overview of what we achieved in 2017 and the plans we are putting in place for 2018. At the meeting we will also review our finances and kick of our planning for the 2018 Vetplantfees. Please attend and see what the group will be up to this year.

November 2017 – General Meeting
Date: Time: - Join the Seed Workshop this Sunday, 12 November 2017 at 14:00. We have a lot of new seeds from this season and will share these with attending members. At the meeting, attending members will be able to sew seeds from different varieties of succulents and we will provide some advice on ensuring the seeds germinate and how to take care of the newly germinated seeds. October 2017 – General Meeting
Date: Time: - Our October Meeting will be held at The Retreat in Groenfontein. Marie Holstensson, one of our founding members has invited us to visit her lovely farm for lunch and enjoy the spring growth and flowers in the valley there. There are wonderful hiking trails, or one can sit on her beautiful stoep and watch nature at its best. Following lunch, we will try and rehash Vetplantfees for a brief time. Everyone’s opinion is important so that we can grow our event and make it more meaningful for future attendees. Also a Pat-On-The-Back session. We will bring wine. August 2017 – General Meeting
Date: Time: - Join us for a 90-minute walk in the veld on Sunday, 13 August 2017. We will visit one of the most diverse koppies in our area is just down the road. WHERE TO MEET We will meet at the Calitzdorp Klein Karoo Agri at 14:00 and drive from there. It is no more than 5 minutes from the Agri. TIME The walk will start at 14:00. Make sure to be on time. ADMISSION The walk is free for members of the Calitzdorp Succulent Society. Non-members can join the walk for an R150 fee payable on the day. IMPORTANT Participants should wear shoes suitable for walking in the veld and bring water, a hat and sun protection.
